Latest Jen's K-drama craze

I have been back into my Korean Drama fever again. This flame kind of comes and goes. I somehow I ran across a drama called "Arang and the Magistrate" and I really fell in love with it.
I originally watched it for Lee Jun Ki which is one of the protagonists but during the middle of the drama I became somewhat interested of the Supporting character.Young Master Juwal was the guy that I became interested and its played by a cute actor name Yeon Woo Jin. After "Arang and the Magistrate was over I became a fan of this actor and I decided to watch some of his other dramas, but since he's only been an actor like maybe 5 years so he doesnt have much going on.
Out of his handful of dramas he's done I decided to give "When a Man loves" a try.

I realized that both in "Arang and the Magistrate" Yeon Woo jin had this special look going, especially in the eyes department. Even as Master Juwal he had this strange look to him because of his eyes but in "When a Man loves" he had those same eyes.

I really enjoyed both dramas for very different reasons. They both had romance going on with different flavors. "Arang and the Magistrate" takes place in Choesun Dynasty, sometime around 17th century and "When a Man loves" is a contemporary show that takes place in 2013.

Yeon Woo Jin looked good in the old Choesun Dynasty costumes and today's modern clothes like skinny jeans and such. His acting was really good in "Arang and the Magistrate",it kind of looks like a difficult role to pull off. As Master Juwal he has to be mysterious and expressionless, its really hard to those things and make it interesting. Maybe this is why I got into Yeon Woo Jin in the first place he has a cute but unique look.  After watching "When a Man loves" I got into him more since he was able to pull off a villan very well too , although I felt very bad for his character.

Jae Hee starts out like a straight forward and outgoing normal High School/College guy but that starts to change as the drama unfolds. I must say that Jae Hee was a tragic character. The more you watch you cant help but to despise him for his actions but at the same time feel a bit sorry for him.

I am planning to write a full blown review of both "Arang and the Magistrate" and "When a Man loves" , and also do some character analysis. This particular post is just a warm up for what I am about to write in the near future. I haven't written in a blog for awhile and barely started again.
I think I needed a warm up writing session before I really get into reviewing these shows.
I have written in a blog from time to time but I dont think I have really wrote any reviews of shows and movies.

I am excited to start doing a full blown review of these two Korean dramas I have watched recently and I will start with "When a Man loves" since I might need more time to organize my thoughts on "Arang and the Magistrate".
